Food Pantry

Perishable and non perishable food, hygiene items, and household products as available are distributed to Mount Vernon residents twice per month on a Saturday. For the holidays (Christmas and Easter) there is a special distribution of toys and candy for the children. Distribution starts at 9:00 am and ends at 11:00am. The next distribution is on March 23, 2024.

Our partners for this ministry include Feeding Westchester, United Way, Episcopal Charities, St Francis Pantry and Shelters and many anonymous donors.

Community Day

Annual Our Community Day is our way of celebrating with our Community. On the first Saturday in August we have a day of fun centered around distribution od school supplies. There is music, food, story telling, face painting, a magic show and balloon animals guaranteed to make the children smile.

COMMUNITY DAY 2024 is Saturday, August 3rd 2024. School supplies distribution starts at 11:00am.

Scholarship

Our Scholarship Committee awards at least one scholarship to a graduating High School senior each year. Applications are due by March 31st each year. Please email AscensionMountVernon@gmail.com for details.

Scholarship awards are presented during worship service in June.
